Lego Maersk Line Triple-E: Welcome 2014!

Everyone is waiting for this set so here is the first good news of the year. The Maersk Line Triple-E set will come out on January 1st as an exclusive set. Set number 10241 the Maersk Line contains 1518 pieces. It will cost $149.99. It contains a lot of details such as a lucky charm coin which turns out that Maersk ships do have one of these on every ship. Also the Maersk containers are removable to help move them around. Apparently this does not come with any minifigures probably because it is not at the scale but you can definitely put this in your city or just for display. It has very nice engine detail which can be seen with a transparent glass piece or if you move two sets of Maersk containers. It comes with a stand with some information about the ship. There are two propellers and two rudders but unfortunately it does not float unless you put it into your bathtub or something like that. Overall I would like to have this set because it would go great with the Maersk train in a Lego city and create a great scene.

Lego CUUSOO: What is it?

We all make great Lego creations but wouldn't it be better if Lego could actually make it a set? Well now that is possible. Lego CUUSOO is a service which allows you to submit your own creations and get supporters. If you make it to 10,000 supporters, Lego will review your project with some others. They know what they are looking for. Eventually if you make it then you will get 1% of the total income from your set. 1 in 4 get the chance to be in review. I have submitted my first project and it is currently in review for Lego to put it up for voting. Lego Mindstorm EV3: A Look at the New Generation

The new generation of Mindstorms is out with all new features and sensors. For all the robot fans out there, this is what you need to have in your house. It has 609 pieces and has a price of $349.99 which is pricey so you would want to get this for Christmas. You can easily build, program and command the new generation of robots which has faster processing of the intelligent brick and all new sensors. If you buy this set you will find 1 EV3 programmable brick, 2 large motors, 1 medium motor, 1 touch sensor, 1 color sensor, 1 infrared sensor, 1 remote control, cables, USB cable and 585 Technic elements. This means that the EV3 is packed with goods. Personally it might be advanced, new, etc but I like the NXT better because its basic and I think its better in design. The EV3 looks evil and ready to take over the world while for me the NXT will never be old. Also I do not like the way they used the rubber pieces for the feet. I like the development in its processing and sensors which I wish were in the NXT because I really would like to test them out but overall I would give the EV3 a 7-8/10.

First Look at Lego Parisian Restaurant Modular Building Set 10243

Lego has officially announced its new modular building in its series. Expected to be on sale on January 1st, this set contains 2469 pieces and will cost $159.99. The building itself has great details and some new features such as a Lego scooter and new printed pieces. Unlike other modulars one of the noticeable things is that the stairs in this building is on the outside since there is so much in the inside. The exterior has a variety of French architecture and is a great addition to your Lego city. Personally, I am a huge fan of the modular buildings and have the Grand Emporium and Fire Brigade.

Just like every other Lego set this set consists of new building techniques and also has everything you would find in a French restaurant. The second floor is a residential area while the top floor is a art studio which Lego has put in a typical French building. I found this set to have somewhat smaller floors probably because of the stairs taking up the space around the building. The interior is amazing especially the fully functional kitchen with all the dishes and everything else. Lego has not been lazy to put lots of details inside. Many more modulars to come!
