Lego Pinball Update 2-Almost There!

Its been a week since the last update and all that I can say is that its close to finishing. I have currently been working on this project once a week since I was very limited on time but planning to get it done this week. I have put in the flippers which do work well and tested them out with the reward system. Also the reward system will contain coins and will be dispensed if the ball makes it into the hole. This was also tested and did work smoothly. The main part to finish now is the ball dispensing mechanism which is extremely tall because it has to dispense the balls onto the pinball area. Everything else seems to be great and will be on Youtube within the week or so. Also I will need to get some rubber bands so the flippers work like real pinball flippers. Also I ran low on the yellow so I decided to add some grey bricks so that the color scheme was kept the same. Hopefully this will be the last update and will be presented on Youtube for a close up and see what this amazing machine is all about! Stay tuned until then.

Lego Pinball Machine Version 1 On Its Way!

Its has been a while since my last creation which was Lego Coin Bank V2. I decided to change things a little bit and I am currently building a new machine. This pinball machine consists of a regular candy machine mechanism to dispense the balls for gameplay. Its not an old boring pinball machine without a reward. Even though its the first version, I thought of adding a reward system where when the ball gets into the hole, the player will receive a prize which I have not decided yet. The prize will probably be twice the money you will be paying to play the game. So if you put 1 dollar to get the marbles from the dispenser and make it into the hole, you will get 2 dollars back. It is up to you what to do with the money but why not play some more? So far the machine is about 25-30% complete because there are a lot more details I will have to consider to make an interesting machine. The machine does niot have any Mindstorms or Power Functions to power the machine. I really like how I did the "WIN" and "$" signs because they really stand out well. Here are some pictures of the progress and the things I still need to work on. Below there is a preview in different angles of the amazing machine:

Lego Exclusive: Horizon Express Kit

This is one of my favorite Lego Exclusive sets. The Horizon Express is the best train set Lego has produced so far. Set number 5003540 the Horizon Express is recommended for ages 14+ and comes with 1351 pieces. The set retails for $253.49 and currently is out of stock but is expected to ship January 25th. As far as the minifigures, for the time Lego has put a female operator in the train. Also the train comes with lots of cool details such as an economy class and a first class kind of thing. Also it includes a lot of techniques such as Lego built arrows instead of stickers. Also if you are not a Lego train fan then you could still buy this set because it comes with a lot of Power Functions. That is the main reason why the price is high for the amount of pieces. Lego has created a great scene with a couple having a romantic time in the train while there is good service provided by the waiter in the train. Lego has been trying to put more female characters in their Lego sets for the past few years and this can be seen in this Exclusive and a must have train for your city.

Yes, it is another Lego Machine! For those who don't know, this blog is a part of TheLegoHow Youtube channel and today is the release of the second version of my Lego Bank. I will post the link to the video for more detail and see in action. In the meantime here are some pictures and a sneak peek to this machine. It has approximately 100-200 pieces and no it is not for sale. My Youtube channel contains all kinds of machines from money taking candy machines to Lego games and all this is custom made. The Growing Series of Lego Architecture: The Eiffel Tower

Previously presented by Lego, the exclusive Eiffel Tower now has a smaller version presented by the Architecture series. This version contains 321 pieces and only costs $34.99 on the online Lego shop. Compared to the previous version this one seems more legit because both sets do not have minifigures since they are not in scale. Buying a cheaper set for display is more logical so people are heading to buy this version of the Eiffel Tower. The exclusive Eiffel Tower version has retired and can be found on Ebay for $850+. This is the great thing about Lego. Once a set retires you can sell it for a much more profitable cost online to make money.

When it comes to the set itself, Architecture has done a great job in fitting lots of details on a small scale. The grill pieces give it a very nice texture of metal. It looks very realistic just like any Architecture set and does not have any playable function. It comes with a lot of elements in the same color so even if you want to break the set down for your own creations, this set would do the job since it has a variety of elements. The exterior details are neat while the path is represented by grey smooth tiles below the tower and green smooth tiles for grass. Overall a 10/10 for display purposes which would be a good idea to gift someone who like monuments or is an architect. Do not buy this for your kid because most likely they would not like it much since it has no minifigs and is quite boring to play with.
